The White House announced last week that President
Obama will address congress and the nation on September 9 in prime time to explain his goals for health care reform.
President Obama will address the nation from the congressional floor and hopefully slice through all
the misinformation and make his points crystal clear to all Americans on what real reform for the health care industry will
be and how it will affect all Americans..
Currently there are five different proposals in congress for health care reform and it seems that they
all contain various ideas with little or no consistency.
And that doesn’t include all the right wing talking heads who spread the lies formulated by the
health care industry. So it’s no wonder that Americans are confused as to what health care reform entails.
President Obama will address the nation from Capitol Hill next Wednesday and hopefully slice through
all the misinformation and make his goals for reform crystal clear to all Americans on what reform means, what will be reformed
and how it will affect everyone.
Vice-President Joe Biden appearing at the Brookings Institution today to speak about the $787 billion
dollar Recovery Act made some comments on health care reform and said that the President was determined to get health care
reform passed, but not without
Next Wednesday millions of Americans will be tuned in to hear the President and hopefully they will
have a clear understand what health care reform will actually do and how it will affect their families.
President Obama, your kids and the old mind meld trick
President Obama and his team of communist scientists
have developed the ability to download Communistic, Socialistic, Marxist, and Maoist ideologies directly through the eyes
of the viewers...The only known way to stop it is by wearing a tin foil hat.
This
video from Fox News, illustrates the lies and how they scare Americans into
doing and thinking stupid things...Watch as Fox downloads directly into your brain. When you are done viewing, you will comply
by keeping your children away from the viewing of the President’s indoctrination speech.
President Obama's speech to kids this Tuesday Sept 8th. is about personal responsibility, education
and setting goals, but the right wing lunatic fringe wants you to think he's going to indoctrinate your kids into socialism...
Since Kennedy, Presidents and even the First Ladies have spoken to children in the classroom either
directly by being in the classroom or by TV broadcastings, or both, including the two George's...But when President Obama
wants to speak to kids, he's going to indoctrinate them in to socialistic thinking.
People of America...You're not thinking normal...It's like I’m watching the Movie "Invasion of
the Body Snatcher's", you‘ve all lost the ability to think for yourselves...
It is an honor to have President Obama or any President speak to your children, The Office of the President
of the United States is to be respected, regardless if the person you voted for or not won the election to the highest office
in the land. You are not thinking with any logic or rationality, you let people like Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck tell you that
night is day, and day is night.
Come on people, President Obama just wants to talk to kids about being as good as they can possibly
be, to set goals, education and personal responsibility.
The White House today released the
transcript for President Obama’s speech to school
kids tomorrow and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but he just
wants them to be there best they can be, read the transcript then let your kids watch the speech given by the President of
the United States.
Transcript excerpt from tomorrow’s speech:
"At the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the
best schools in the world," Obama said. "And none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities."
I’m not the first to say this nor will I be the last, “Soylent Green is People.”
*President Obama to speak to kids in school Sept. 8th and take over the minds of your
kids.
Last month, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani
endorsed former Alaska governor Sarah Palin’s ridiculous claims about “death panels” in health care reform,
saying that “whether they will do that or not I don’t know. … People assume these death panels will be created.” On NBC’s Meet The Press today, Giuliani continued to give credence to the idea, saying
that because Democratic health care reform proposals don’t include medical malpractice reform or “interstate purchase
of insurance,” it became “impossible for most Republicans to figure out how you’re going to save the money
other than pulling the plug on grandma.”
Giuliani regularly claims that President Obama never put medical malpractice reform “on the table,”
but as ThinkProgress has previously noted, this is simply not true. In May, Time reported that Obama told Republicans that he was willing to negotiate
on curbing malpractice awards, but the Republicans were unwilling to make a deal.

If reform can’t be fought using facts, Simply give civil discourse the ax. Block discussion with

The Lockerbie bomber scandal: Gordon Brown has sold Britain’s reputation for thirty pieces of silver By
Nile Gardiner
Yesterday's Sunday papers are filled with new revelations surrounding
the complicity of Gordon Brown’s administration in the decision to release Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi.
The Sunday Telegraph reveals that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) gave Libya a “sweetener” of ₤146,000
in aid for “reforms” in its prison system while talks were taking place between London and Tripoli over Megrahi’s
fate, as well as British investment in Libya’s oil sector.
The Sunday Telegraph also reports that British officials even negotiated with Mousa Kousa, a “terror mastermind”
accused of planning the Lockerbie bombing, over Megrahi’s release. Meanwhile, The Sunday Times has revealed how Brown
“personally vetoed an attempt to force Colonel Muammar Gaddafi to compensate IRA bomb victims because it might have
jeopardised British oil deals with Libya.”
All this follows Justice Secretary Jack Straw’s admission last week to The Daily Telegraph that trade and oil deals
with Libya were central to his decision to include Megrahi in any prison transfer deal with Libya.
There is now no doubt that the appalling release of a mass murdering terrorist was intricately linked to advancing broader
British ties with the brutal regime of Colonel Gaddafi – almost certainly with the aim of securing lucrative oil contracts
for British companies. This all makes a mockery of Gordon Brown’s blatantly false declaration in a Downing Street press
conference that his government played no role whatsoever in the release of Megrahi. In Brown’s words:
With each passing week, it becomes
more in doubt that Gov. Mark Sanford can focus on the duties of his office and provide the leadership required during these
tough times. The governor has refused to resign after revelations of his long-distance affair, his decision to flee the state
for almost a week without staying in contact with his office, and some plane trips that have raised serious ethical questions.
Sanford has said that despite his personal problems — that also include his
wife packing her things and moving back to the Charleston area with the couple’s four boys — he could serve the
remaining 16 months of his second term and fulfill his responsibilities.
So far, more than two months after Sanford’s return from his secret meeting
with his Argentine lover, there are no persuasive signs that he’s capable of leading this state that so desperately
needs solid, forward-thinking leadership. He’s spent time apologizing profusely for his personal behavior, and lately
he’s gone on the offensive against other elected officials who are questioning his travel expenditures. And in what
can be described as a time-consuming diversionary tactic, he’s now asked the state’s three research universities
for their records on public and private travel.
This is not the way to lead. This is a way to drag this state into another months-long
controversy that does nothing to bring new jobs here and help state residents pull themselves out of some extraordinarily
tough economic times.
S.C. Chamber of Commerce President Otis Rawl called the 2009 legislative session
“probably the most nonproductive session we’ve seen in Columbia in a long time.” How true. In speaking to
Lowcountry business leaders, Rawl urged the Legislature to move quickly on the calls that are growing to hold hearings to
consider impeaching Sanford, according to the Charleston Post and Courier. “From a business perspective, we just
can’t stand another unproductive session, especially with our unemployment as high as it is,” he was quoted as
saying.
More than just dealing with $1.3 billion in state budget cuts kept the Legislature
from accomplishing much this past session. Lawmakers also fought a brutal battle with Sanford over whether the state would
get its full share of federal stimulus money. Sanford enthusiastically waged that unnecessary war.
This state’s unemployment rate is nearing 12 percent. The state budget will
be cut an additional $200 million because revenue continues to fall. That means another average cut of about 4 percent for
state agencies, colleges and local schools.
Those declining state revenues signal more than pain for government institutions.
This is a sign that too many people continue to draw no paychecks or smaller ones, many companies still aren’t seeing
healthy bottom lines, and consumers aren’t spending and thus aren’t nurturing an economic recovery.
Serious questions have been raised about some of Gov. Sanford’s travel on state
aircraft and commercial flights, and lawmakers are right to insist on a thorough and timely investigation. But South Carolina
cannot afford to be paralyzed for another year by this governor who now seems to be fighting only for his reputation.
Is
Glenn Beck really insane, or does he just act like it to get ratings. Beck who has mentioned several times that he is a recovering
alcoholic and that he loved Jack
Daniels, is seeing
Communists, Marxists, Socialists and Fascists under ever White House desk.
His
hallucinations run from one end of political ideology to the other when speaking of the President Obama and those that work
for him or advise him. He will actually use all of those words when describing a democrat.
After
those statement by Glenn Beck on the Fox News spew show, Fox and Friends, a web site was created called the ColorofChange.org which asked
people to call those who advertise on the Beck show that they are going to boycott their products as long as they continue
to advertise on his show. At last count 57 advertisers have pulled their ads. So Fox told Beck to take a week off and go on
vacation, presumably to let things cool down while they decide if its worth keeping Beck and his circus geek of politics show.
Fox
it appears decided to keep him and few days after his return
Beck had a psychiatrist on his show to explain
to him why people think he’s mentally deranged. The psychiatrist pointed to a list of comments that have been made about
Beck which Beck had written on a chalk board. Then the psychiatrist said the first step was recognizing what was being said
about you and being able to admit that you’re human with faults and some other psycho talk and saidit will be easier for you now that you have “taken the first step“. Then Beck went on pointing
to the chalk board reading some of the things said of him and talked about how he was an alcoholic, a recovering alcoholic.
Now
Beck rails against inanimate objects like buildings, statues, carvings and paintings because he see’s a commie in everyone
of these objects. Keith Olbermann of MSNBC made Glenn
Beck his number one story yesterday, where he
mocked his insanity that is now focused on inanimate objects.
You
know how when your driving on the freeway and there is an accident on the side of the road and you see a body and you slow
down to look, but you know that that is something you really don't want to look at but you do anyhow...That's Glenn Beck...Then
you speed up and drive away saying to yourself I wish I hadn't seen that...That's when I change the channel...
Cheney and Torture--the Democrats' Gift that Keeps Giving
By Robert Schlesinger, Thomas Jefferson Street blog
Is Dick Cheney's ego writing checks his poll numbers
can't cash? That seems to be the bet the Democratic National Committee is making, going back to the Cheney well again with
a new TV ad slamming him for being "wrong" and "wrong again" on a host of issues, including Iraq (both how we'd be
greeted and what we'd find) and most recently "enhanced interrogation techniques" (or what before 9/11 we simply called "torture").
As The Plum Line's Greg Sargent points out, this appears to be the first time the Democrats as a party have said
that Cheney was flatly wrong on torture.
Previously, the DNC — and other White House allies — had mostly lampooned Cheney as a figure
of fun on the sidelines, largely declining to engage the substance of the torture debate to avoid elevating his claims. ...
I wonder whether this means Dems are anticipating a higher profile debate over torture — and
over national security in general.
Cheney's approval ratings crept up in the spring (and there's even been a Cheney '12 boomlet—please, oh please), but you've got to figure that he retains a special mix of high name
recognition and toxic appeal for the Democrats to continue painting him as the face of the GOP on national security policy.
The Washington Post’s Ezra Klein reported
recently that Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who is up for reelection in 2010, sent a fundraising letter asking donors to give
him money to help him “defeat ‘Obama-care.’” Grassley is currently locked in negotiations with a small group of Senate Finance Committee members,
reportedly working on a possible bipartisan health care proposal.
As we previously reported, ThinkProgress attended a closed-door health care town hall forum in Hialeah, FL, this past Tuesday, where Sens. Mel Martinez (R-FL), John McCain (R-AZ), and Mitch McConnell
(R-KY) discussed their opposition to Obama’s health reform plan. After the event, the three senators took a trip across
town to the ritzy Biltmore hotel in Miami where they attended a fundraising reception sponsored by the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
ThinkProgress attended the closed-door reception. Upon arriving at the venue, we were surprised to
see a conference room that was marked as a fundraising reception room for Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA). Grassley was not listed
on the official invitation. Minutes later, Grassley arrived, where he joined his fellow colleagues McConnell and McCain. In his
remarks, Grassley told the wealthy Republican activists that he was committed to fighting Obama’s health care plan.
ThinkProgress tried repeatedly to contact Grassley’s office for comment, but they refused to
get back to us.

The Main stream Media has to stop calling Torture, enhanced Interrogations...It's
Torture, just because Dick Cheney, Fox News and the rest of the right wing spin machine call Torture, enhanced Interrogation
does not mean that you are suppose to follow their misleading LIES!!!
Grow a pair and stop trying to be "Infotainment" like Fox and go back to being the News. Things are screwed up enough with
your duplicity ...
The media’s mean, so I quit: (That’s the message that Palin has writ.) And you don’t
need a title To do something vital. I’m betting she runs against Mitt.
VARIOUS LATE NIGHT QUOTES
"The entire island of Martha's Vineyard has gone Obama crazy. There's even a cocktail that they've named after
Barack Obama. It's called the Obamarita. Not to be confused with a cocktail inspired by John McCain, the Cosmopoligrip. And
then there was one a couple of years ago inspired by George W. Bush, the Mojidiot. Of course, there was the Bill Clinton Screwdriver."
--David Letterman
"In 2012, the Republicans are now talking about the presidential ticket, Dick Cheney and running as vice president
Sarah Palin. Talk about your dream ticket. Oh buddy, the comedy recession is over. I mean, come on, talk about your shotgun
marriage." --David Letterman
"There was an article in Vanity Fair that says Sarah Palin -- listen to this, this borders on the creepy --
that what she was trying to do … was adopt her daughter Bristol's baby. … Oh yeah, like I'm going to make a joke
about this. None of my business. Whatever you want. Live and let live, that's my motto." --David Letterman
"But this article is quite an expose. The article claims that Sarah Palin really couldn't see Russia from her
house. The article also says that Sarah Palin was not much of a hunter. And I was thinking, I don't know, she killed John
McCain's chances." --David Letterman
"Sarah Palin is making some dough. She's going around the world speaking. She's got a gig over in China. She's
very excited because she thinks that China is a red state." --David Letterman
"Remember the two Asian-American journalists who were held captive in North Korea and rescued by President Clinton.
Well, they have finally written about their ordeal. The two of them said they were frightened, mistreated, and violated, and
then someone told Clinton to leave them alone." --Conan O'Brien
"The healthcare debate is getting crazily intense. Yesterday during a healthcare protest, a fight broke out
and a man got his finger bitten off. That's true. No one knows who started, but there's been an awful lot of stub pointing."
--Conan O'Brien
The powerful and secretive group known as the Fellowship Foundation or the “Family” is quickly gaining notoriety,
due to its links to two scandal-plagued Republicans, Senator John Ensign of Nevada and Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina.
According to the Washington Post, however, the Fellowship Foundation is itself linked to an even more secretive
religious organization — Youth With a Mission (YWAM), whose Washington, DC branch owns the “C Street House” where Ensign has lived and where Sanford has participated in Bible study.
A diarist at Daily Kos points out that “YWAM founder leader Loren Cunningham has publicly outlined a vision for Christian
world-control,” which involves establishing domination over government, education, business, the media, and other areas.
